New Murals at Bonifacio Global City

Bonifacio Global City fills its bare walls with gorgeous murals for the 2nd time in their ArtBGC Festival 2016. Working closely with Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. (BAFI), LeBasse Projects and Honeycomb Communities assemble a talented group of local and international artists to create works that inspire.

This year, there are more than ten new murals to be found around the city from muralists including Kris Abrigo, Trip63, Andrew Schoultz, and Franciso Diaz, just to name a few.

Here’s a quick tour of ArtBGC’s old and new through an artist’s lens…

I’ve always been impressed with Bonifacio Global City, I think it’s the closest thing the Philippines has to New York.

Having lived nearby, I grew up watching the place develop from empty plots of land, used as parks to fly kites on weekends, into the rich sphere of culture it’s become. There’s always something to do there, even if it’s just walking around - something more difficult to do literally anywhere else in Metro Manila - and spotting the murals. Glad to hear there’s more of them to see.

Hopefully I get the chance to come see (maybe photograph) the new murals after I fly back.
