I’ll get straight to it: summer didn’t go anywhere near as planned. I still have the second half of my photos for the Europe - 2014 series to upload (but first, curate and edit thoroughly), and I still have 9 ideas to develop for The Initiative, the first of which I have done nothing yet. At all. So don’t expect Concept no. 2 popping out any time soon. Basically all my mental energies right now are currently spent revising for SATs on a nearly daily basis and worrying way too much about the things I’m supposedly accountable towards, the aforementioned stuff for the blog included.
On a more positive note, more photos are on the way from my trip to Singapore, pretty much concluding on this night that I’m writing this post. But there isn’t much I can do now in terms of blogging other than these photo posts…so I guess you can’t really be expecting anything substantial soon.
With that said, this is a really weird time for me - a mix of extreme positives and extreme negatives all stirred in this cauldron called “summer”. I’m attempting to relive my childhood, having bought a 3DS XL and Pokemon Y (and racing in Mario Kart 8 with my cousins here in Singapore), and again, sometimes strenuous, sometimes mentally stimulating SAT studies. I’m not sure what to make of it, but it’s definitely taking a toll on my motivation to develop stuff for my blog and stuff in general i.e. mentally preparing myself for the upcoming school year and dealing with the fear of accepting relevant responsibilities, especially those having to do with college admission.
So yeah, I guess I don’t know what to expect at all, but being the cynic that I am, I doubt my readiness for whatever storm I’m sensing will hit me eventually. Here’s to whatever comes my way… 🍸
PS: This was written about two weeks ago, actually. I only have the connection to post it right now. Sorry for the delayed post.
